This course offers a brief overview of PLCs and their application in electrical controls.  This class is part of the electrical series and focuses on how PLCs work rather than their software.
Course Objectives:
•    Explain how a PLC works
•    Explain the binary and the octal numbering systems
•    Define a PLC scan
•    Explain how a PLC references input and output devices
•    Implement and program two-wire and three-wire motor control circuits in a PLC
•    Demonstrate how input/output modules operate and interface
•    Implement basic discrete program functions in a PLC  I/O
•    Troubleshoot the input/output system of a PLC
