FANUC Robot Mechanical Disassembly/Reassembly

Course Description

Course Description This hands-on course provides the detailed instruction and procedures necessary for complete disassembly, inspect, repair and reassembly of a FANUC robot mechanical unit. Course Objectives: Identify major mechanical components Describe and explain axes drives Diagnose robot mechanical problems to the component level Replace all mechanical components on the robot Perform adjustments on the robot Perform periodic maintenance on the mechanical unit Power up and jog the robot for diagnostic purposes Recover from faults Display alarms and take corrective actions Perform typical repair procedures Remove and install fasteners Torque fasteners correctly Use and apply Loctite correctly Properly remove and install drive motors Safely rig robot sections Properly remove and install all drive units Properly remove and install robot sections Properly remove and install motor gears Properly set bevel gears Safely remove and install spring balancers Properly Master the robot using: Fixture position Zero position mastering Single axis mastering Quick mastering Properly lubricate and maintain the robot mechanical unit Recommended safety procedures are integrated into all training exercises. The course consists of lectures, demonstrations, and a series of lab exercises designed to reinforce what the student has learned. In addition to lab exercises, a pre-test and post-test are used to measure mastery of objectives. 

Prerequisite - sucessfully completed an instructor-led  FANUC Level 1 Programming and Operations class such as HandlingTool, ArcTool, PalletizingTool, etc.ORinstructor-led Robot Operations Class (16 hour)

Proper Clothing is required! No Shorts, No jewelry, No tank tops, No open toed shoes, sandals or flip flops!  This is strictly enforced!

Basic computer skills are required. Windows 98, 2000, XP knowledge is preferred. Electrical Safety Knowledge is preferred.
